NTHTD is a day to recognize the importance of routine HIV testing, status awareness and continued focus on HIV prevention and treatment efforts among transgender people. NTHTD Houston’s community event will be held at the Organización Latina de Trans en Texas (OLTT) and sponsored by Equality Texas, Legacy Community Health Services, The Transgender National Alliance, and the Houston AIDS Research Team CAB. This event will feature free confidential testing, a moderated panel discussion of local HIV services (including PrEP) followed by a question and answer period, a history of funding for HIV through NIH, several skits performed by trans actors, and a dinner.
