Trans Film Series

The Station Museum of Contemporary Art and Gender Reel Houston are proud to present the Trans Film Series, a series of films selected and presented by local trans individuals. The Trans Film Series is in conjunction with Solutions, a mid-career retrospective of Cassils, a Los Angeles-based trans performance artist.

Screening dates are December 13, January 10th, and February 7th at 7:00 PM. All films will be screened at The Station Museum of Contemporary Art (1502 Alabama Street, 77004). The event is free.

Hanifah Walidah is a musician, playwright, and social arts activist. Her twenty-year career has taken an ethnographic approach to the arts to create film, music, and stage works that help foster social change. The nationally noted Black Folks’ Guide to Black Folks, a one-woman show and feature-length film imagining and stimulating conversations among queer and straight communities of color in the contemporary U.S.
